Classic collection of Ray Ban Sunglasses
Ray-Ban sunglasses where originally developed by Bausch & Lomb after they where approached by Lieutenant John MacCready. He had just finished one of his lengthy and fun packed ballooning adventures and on his return he noticed that the harmful rays emitted by the sun appeared to have damaged his eyes. Fearful that the damage would be long term he contacted a doctor straight away. Thankfully the damage was not lasting, but in the meantime, he did suffer a fair amount of pain. It was he himself who approached Bausch & Lomb and asked them if they would design and produce a range of Ray Ban sunglasses that would not only protect his eyes from further damage, but also look stylish, and there in the first pair of ray-bans where born.
